Whether you’re a longtime local or planning a visit from out of state, the Air and Water Show is a must-see event. From high-speed jets and daring stunts to jaw-dropping lakefront action, there’s something for everyone.

The Best Way to Experience the Air and Water Show Chicago 2025

The Chicago Air and Water Show is best viewed along the lakefront from Fullerton to Oak Street, but why not skip the crowded beaches and get a bird’s-eye view instead? At Skydeck Chicago, you can watch the show from 1,353 feet in the air at the Willis Tower—the city’s most iconic skyscraper. It’s one of the best elevated vantage points in town, allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted sights of jets soaring above Lake Michigan.

If you’re feeling daring, you can even step out onto The Ledge and see the action unfold beneath your feet. The Ledge is Skydeck’s world-famous, all-glass balcony, and it’s an experience you’ll never forget!
