Highest Observation Deck in US

Willis Tower’s dazzling height is even more breathtaking when experienced from the 103rd-floor windows of the Skydeck observatory and the Ledge, which extends more than four feet from the side of the building, allowing visitors the opportunity to walk out among the clouds at 1,353 feet above the street.

Skydeck offers an unforgettable view of the Windy City from 1,353 feet in the air, but you shouldn’t just take our word for it: Skydeck Chicago’s reviews attest to the unforgettable nature of the experience. Just take a look at what our visitors have said and some of the accolades the experience has earned, then buy your own ticket or contact us with any questions.

Very touristy and always busy, but still a blast. You can soend as much time as you want up there, and the ledge is fun and makes for great pictures. I would recommend NOT buying tickets in advance, since you want to go up when the sky is clear for the best experience.

One of a kind experience. A must visit. We booked the tickets in advanced. They give a fair chance to everyone to take the pictures. You can take the pictures on the viewing platforms however many times you want, the catch is each time you’ll get 90seconds per family. After 90seconds you can again stand and the que and wait for your chance. A fair and clever way to deal with huge crowds.

Iconic views of the Chicago city scape. Highly recommended to get some great views, pictures, and memories! Those who don’t fear heights braved out on the glass floor or an exhilarating view of the city. Highly recommended for anyone in the city or passing through. There is plenty to keep you busy on your way up to the Skydeck. The elevator is very fast with only one stop!

I went here earlier this year with my husband for a special date night to celebrate. This was the most beautiful experience for me because it reminded me of all the beautiful things that started in Chicago. This was like waking into a pop out story about the history of the city. After the walk to the elevator i was amazed because inside was a video about the history of the Willis tower displayed over the entirety of the elevator’s walls. The ride up went quick and smooth and at the top I saw the entire city. I planned my trip in the evening to take full advantage of the city lights. The top was just as beautiful as I remembered and the ledge made the sky deck even more special. I remember going there as a kid when the ledge first opened and seeing it as an adult was nostalgic. It was nice to see all the things they added over the years. This made the tower not only a place for tourists but a place to relive your childhood if you grew up in or around the city. 10/10 experience.

Such a great place to visit to get some of the best views of the city from above. Definitely worth a visit. Fun photo op’s on the way to the sky deck with history about the city as well. My favorite part was standing on the ledge and looking at the city. Friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff. Clean viewing and restroom facilities. I’d love to visit again someday. 🙂

While expensive, I loved this experience. I recommend going on a weekday so it’s less crowded. I loved the small exhibit at the entry, the unique elevator experience, and the opportunity to get back in line for photos (90 second limit). All the staff were kind and helpful. They even took my picture since I was traveling alone. I really enjoyed the entire experience and would do again if visiting Chicago in the future!
google
If you want to get great photos my suggestion is to arrive around 6.30-7pm so you can catch the sunset. If you are in a rush then the expedited entry is your best option, but if that is not the case i strongly recommend going with the standard experience. They have tons of great displays to learn more about Chicago and the building in general that you cannot miss!

I had a great experience visiting Skydeck Chicago! The views from the 103rd floor were absolutely stunning—you can see the entire city and even other states on a clear day. Standing on The Ledge, the glass balcony, was thrilling and a bit scary, but totally worth it. The staff were friendly and the whole place was well-organized. It can get a bit crowded, so I recommend going early. A must-see spot if you’re in Chicago!
Enjoy …

Coming from the 80’s and basically living the Ferris Bueruller’s day Off lifestyle I had to follow their steps on this trip. Plenty of great items to see as you walk to the elevator and standing on a 1.5″ piece of glass is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The staff is great and made the trip enjoyable.
